Blackwork Spiderweb Tattoo
Centred a classic radiating spiderweb design here in blackwork. Simple in concept, unforgiving in execution. The radial lines have to converge precisely on the centre and stay even as the body bends and straightens, which is one of the harder things I get asked to pull off cleanly.
I used this piece as a bridge between existing blackwork above and below, knitting separate panels into a continuous full coverage piece with figural work flanking the web. This kind of joint placement is tricky because of how the skin behaves, and a design like this owns the local geometry rather than trying to ignore it. Bridging pieces matter to me, they're what turn a collection of tattoos into a coherent body of work.
